Today we have a trick to help you search on a specific website using keywords. This could come in handy for people who frequently visit certain sites each day and would want to have better methods to search them when needed. Step 1: Open the website for which you want to create such a shortcut. Look for its search box and right-click on it. Then choose the option to Add a Keyword for this Search (on Firefox) or Add as search engine (on Google Chrome).

Step 2: Before saving the bookmark link a keyword with it. I have used “gt” because Guiding Tech is the website for me. Click on Save when you are done.

Step 3: Open a new browser tab and type your keyword (gt, in our example) followed by the query string on the address bar.

You will be navigated to the concerned website’s search results page with results matching your query string. Do you have any such favorite website? Is this trick going to help you? Or, are you using some different trick already? Share with us in the comments section. The above article may contain affiliate links which help support Guiding Tech.
