Sooner or later, you’ll find that accessing new program windows means scrolling up and down the taskbar. You’ve already pinned so much of stuff there that any new app gets pushed down automatically. And that can be frustrating. Now, you could always increase the taskbar’s height but that eats into screen real estate. Not very convenient usually. What you might want to do is make the taskbar show small icons of the pinned programs. That way, it could accommodate more stuff without showing the scroll bar. This simple 3-step tutorial will show you how to get that done. Step 1. Right click anywhere on the blank space in the taskbar. You’ll see an option that says Properties. Click on it.
Step 2. The Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window will open up. Under the Taskbar tab at the top, you should see a checkbox that says Use small icons. Click on it to put a checkmark there.
Step 3. Click OK. You’re done! The result should look something like the one below.
